Jamie xx has done some impressive work since his breakthrough as part of The xx, 2009’s greatest musical export from England. His remix work has been similarly impressive – work with Florence and the Machine on ‘You’ve Got the Love’ is a definite highlight. Continuing his production work, he has remixed Gil Scott-Heron’s album ‘I’m NewHere.’ With a similarly minimalistic feel as artist such as James Blake – who needs no introduction on this blog – and a continuation of The xx’s work, this album sounds pretty impressive.
